Hi Rightfor,

I'm afraid we don't have a list of pronunciation rules of this kind. English is, as you say, a language whose pronunciation does not fit well into a rule-based system, unlike many other languages. Although rules can be helpful to a point, I think the best way to learn good pronunciation in English is to be exposed to as much natural language as possible, and to practise producing it. This rule is simple: the more you hear and the more you say, the better you will get.

Good evening everyone.
As all the people do I like jokes, it doesn't matter what kind of jokes are, whether are about animals or people. Most of them made me laugh and this is the important thing in the life .. to have a good feeling.
I try to remember a joke....usually I really bad in it and now it's really tough because I have to say the joke in English.
I follow the British Council, through all the Elementary Podcast and I remember in series one it was a joke at every end of the podcast and I really enjoying it all of them.
...A cat walks on the field. A cow asks:
-You are so small and already grew a mustache?
-And you are so great and without bra?//
I hope you'll like my joke.
..A dog goes through the desert and say: If you can not find a tree, I will do on me!...
And this is the last one ...A guy walks into a store with items for hunting.
-Good Day, do you have camouflage pants?
-We have but we did not find them!

Hello everybody greetings... It was nice episode and very funny but about Emily and Carolina regarding the jokes a little tough.. Well I would to know what does Shakespearse mean? I've heard something like that before and I've been looking up but I can't fine the meaning.. Thanks

Hello ariana01,

Jokes can be difficult to understand in another language, can't they? In fact, sometimes they can be difficult in our own languages!

I'm not sure what you mean by your question. Can you rephrase it and I'll try to answer? Thanks.

Best wishes,

I had a joke,, but I don't know why I forget it always hahahah

Here's a joke I wish you all enjoy it. If there is any mistakes please let me know.
The title is: Beggars can't be choosers.
A man goes to the work everyday morning. He is generous that he everyday gives 100 Syrian Pounds to a beggar who sits on the pavement and is dressed badly. A year later, the man gives the beggar only 75 S.P. The beggar gets confused. A year later, The man reduces that to 50 S.P. The beggar asks "hey hey wait a minute. Why don't you give me as much as you did before?". The man says "Last year my son entered the university so he needed some money. And this year my daughter does too". The beggar asks "How many children have you got?". The man answers proudly "Four". The beggar says angrily "So don't tell that you will send all your children at my expense!!".
