I have a question. I saw somewhere written "Don´t sell the skin before the bear is shot dead. Ali truly was "The Greatest". I want to know what does it mean don't sell the skin.... is it phrase?

I'm not familiar with that saying, but it sounds very much like it warns people against celebrating a victory before they have actually won.
