Station manager: Good afternoon. How can I help you?
Makayla: Hello … Erm … yes. I’ve just missed my train!
Station manager: Ah. Where are you going?
Makayla: To Manchester.
Station manager: Ah yes. That was the 16:20.
Makayla: What time’s the next one?
Station manager: Let’s see. The next train to Manchester leaves at 17:15 from platform 2.
Makayla: 17:15 … so that’s quarter past five … platform 2. What time does it get to Manchester?
Station manager: At 18:30.
Makayla: Half past six … erm … Can I use the same ticket?
Station manager: Just a moment, please. Can I see your ticket?
Makayla: Yes, here you are.
Station manager: Ah, sorry, no ... You can’t use this ticket on the 17:15 train.
Makayla: Really? Why not?
Station manager: This ticket is valid on trains before 5 and after 7 o’clock. During rush hour tickets are more expensive.
Makayla: Oh … do I have to buy another ticket?
Station manager: Yes, well, I can change your old ticket for a new ticket. Your ticket cost £7.50 and the new ticket is £11.00. So you just pay the difference, which is £3.50.
Makayla: Ah, OK, erm ... What platform is it from?
Station manager: Platform 2. Just over there, on the other side.
Makayla: OK, thanks. Bye.
Station manager: All right. Bye bye!

Hi everyone! Yes! I love to use the train as my favorite transport. Once traveling from Amsterdam to Germany, the dutch train was too late so I couldn't reach my connection to the next train...and was the last one at night. So, I spent the whole night until the first train at early morning. Now, here in México, the train is not a common mean of transport. Regards!
I like travelling. I have travelled by train only one time till now. It took me 8 hours on the train to go to Nha Trang from Ho Chi Minh city. I couldn't sleep all night because it's noise. I recommend travelling by flight. It's more convenient.
I love travelling by train. I travelled once using the train from Paris to Interlaken. It was a very enjoyable trip and I didn't face any problem. The train was clean, the seats were comfortable. Everything was organised.
I love traveling by trein when i go on holiday, bat i don’t like whenw i have to take trein to go to work at rush our. Ne cause it is too full so it is very stressful.
I take the Thameslink train whenever I arrive at Gatwick airport.
It takes me to St Pancras station in 50 minutes. It is cheap in comparison with others trains. In Italy there's Frecciarossa train it takes 3 hours and a half from Milan to Rome.
good english level
No, I rarely travel by train and I don't like it either. I do like the crowd and the noise made by them. If you happen to get on the same train with poor-behaved child, it's like hell!
Yes, I like travelling by train when I have a free time. It is slower than flight but It allows us to see a view. However, I am in Vietnam and my country railway system is very old now. There are too many accidents and it is risky for travelling by train
I visited London and I always traveled by train. It's very easy but too expansive. Fortunately I bought a special tourist ticket and I saved a lot
i really like travelling by train. There are very comfortable trains in a city of mine and i can relax and sleep during my joerney.
