it's really fun to do this, while do nothing at home

What are differences?
ALTOGETHER/ALL TOGETHER

Hello lydia aqua marina,

'Altogether' means 'in total' or 'as a whole'.

'All together' means 'everyone together'.

For example:

'We'll finish it altogether soon.' [= We'll finish it completely soon.]

'We'll finish it all together by next week.' [= We'll finish it soon with everybody working together.]

Best wishes,

Peter

thank's MR Peter
have a nice day ! ^^

Harry: Guess so. Ready as I’ll ever be.
Johnny: Got the ring and everything?

"Ready as I'll ever be."
"Got the ring and everything?"
---What do these two sentences mean? Thanks in advance.

Hello xiaokaoy,

These sentencs are examples of ellipsis, i.e. leaving out words, which is quite common in informal speech such as that between these two friends. The full versions are:

'Have you got the wedding ring and everything else?'
'I'm as ready as I'll ever be.'

Harry's about to get ready and is nervous, but he still feels ready to get married. Johnny's is trying to help him remember to take the wedding ring.

All the best,
Kirk

Hello Kirk and Peter, hi guys! I've become registered only now at the site although have been using it since last year. Thank you very much for the site. It helps me very much in(with) my English, I try to be here every day. I began from 'Big City Small World' and Elementary Podcasts and am interested in Carolina's stories...However, today I'd like to say that task 4 in Series 3 Episode 12 - 'Popping the Question' doesn't open, I pressed on 'GO' and 'INSTRUCTIONS' and nothing works, so I can't do the activity. Please, do something. Thanks!)

Hello Nataley,

I've checked the activity and it seems to be working fine. It may be a temporary issue so could you check it again, please? If it still isn't working then try using a different device - a laptop or desktop computer, for example - as sometimes there may be a compatibility issue, especially if you are using a mobile device such as a phone or tablet.

Please let us know if this solves the problem for you.

Best wishes,

Peter
