Select Beginner

Select Beginner helps you do basic tasks at work in English, such as meeting new people, saying numbers and dates, making a telephone call and chatting to your colleagues.

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • greet people
  • ask for a phone number and make a telephone call
  • give your email address
  • talk about the time
  • say numbers and dates
  • talk about jobs.

 

Select Elementary

With Select Elementary, you learn how to introduce yourself, write a job application, prepare for an interview and have basic conversations about work and everyday life.

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • introduce yourself
  • describe what you are good at
  • ask about difficult words in English
  • write a CV and fill in a job application form
  • prepare for a job interview
  • answer questions at a job interview.

 

Select Pre-intermediate 1

Select Pre-intermediate 1 teaches you how to ask for more information in the workplace, give and receive instructions, plan a trip and describe and compare different options. 

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • understand basic instructions at work
  • understand basic information about a company
  • give advice to a new colleague
  • plan a business trip
  • give and respond to opinions
  • ask for and offer help.

 

Select Pre-intermediate 2

Select Pre-intermediate 2 helps you perform more complex tasks at work in English, such as talking about prices, planning events and dealing with problems.

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • explain how a product works
  • talk about prices and discounts
  • talk about jobs and working conditions
  • ask about future opportunities in a company
  • deal with problems and difficult customers
  • plan an event and assign tasks.

 

Select Intermediate

Select Intermediate develops your workplace English further so that you can talk about your experience in an interview, deal with complaints and write a product description.

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • describe your education and past work experience
  • deal with complaints about a product or service
  • take part in meetings
  • describe product plans
  • talk about figures and statistics
  • give presentations.

 

Select Upper Intermediate

Select Upper Intermediate prepares you for a more senior role in the workplace, teaching you how to manage staff, budgets and clients in English.

By the end of this level, you’ll be able to:

  • meet clients
  • write business proposals and make recommendations
  • evaluate staff performance and set up a team
  • present product concepts and project plans
  • organise staff training
  • discuss costs and budgets.

 

Select Advanced

Select Advanced is aimed at the language needed for a strategic role in an organisation and around leading an organisation and its people in English.

By the end of this level you will be able to:

  • discuss mergers
  • plan for and implement measures to grow a business
  • organise a major event
  • manage research and development
  • carry out analysis and troubleshooting of service delivery issues
  • manage feedback and plan product development.
