Don't get over-emotional

It's good to express your emotions but don't lose control!

In an interview situation it’s always good to express yourself and to convey your feelings, however there is a limit.  You don’t want to put yourself in a situation that causes you to become over-emotional and perhaps lose control – this could jeopardise the success of your whole interview.

In order to avoid this, think about the kind of things that you may be asked about in an interview that could cause you to get emotional – a pet that died recently, an exam you failed, an argument you had with a friend. By thinking about them in advance you can mentally prepare yourself to talk about them, or our best advice would be to try to avoid talking on these sensitive subjects altogether and wherever possible answer the question using a different example.

Hello all the LearnEnglish Team and English Learners,
I planned to take IELTS with in six months. While I was browsing via the internet to get IELTS preparation resource materials I came across to this site. I am very much delighted  to get  this resourceful site to prepare for  IELTS exam and in general to improve one's English language. I have never taken any international English test so far however now I have decided to take either IELTS or TOEFL.
The institution I am going to apply require high level IELTS score. I am looking for appropriate and potential IELTS and TOEFL preparation materials which can help to achieve a high score.
I am writing to the LeanEnglish team and the English learner community to help me to find a potential site and IELTS preparation materials for IELTS and TOEFL exam. I did not decide which to take yet. In addition, I would like to know if there is a site which can comment on written English on different topics.
Finally, I would like to thank and  appreciate all the members of the BBC LearnEnglish team for your unlimited effort to help the English learners to succeed in their  IELTS exam.

Hello Eyob,
Welcome to LearnEnglish, and thank you very much for your warm words.
The British Council (which runs LearnEnglish) is one of the three owners of IELTS, and so we can offer a lot of preparation materials, both here on LearnEnglish and on the British Council's Take IELTS pages, including sample papers, tips, preparation guides and so on.  You can also take an online IELTS preparation course, which is a very effective way to prepare for the test.
For information on TOEFL I recommend the TOEFL homepage, where you can find information on the test and on how to prepare for it.
I don't know of any site which offers feedback on written work - that's usually the job of a teacher on a preparation course, such as the Road to IELTS preparation course I mentioned above.  Here on LearnEnglish we will be glad to help with any specific questions you might have about aspects of learning, grammar, vocabulary and so on, but we don't have time to comment on written work, I'm afraid.
Best wishes and good luck with your learning!

Hello teacher thanks for your help , but I just want to ask you if you could give us more benefit things for preparing to the IELTS exam please . And thanks again for you and for the site :) Nada

i want to ask you my friends is it  an easy test or a hard test thank you i am waiting fo your anwsers

IELTS is a test that doesn't have a pass mark. You get a band from 0-9 instead. So the difficulty really depends what band you want to get and how good your English is now.
Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team
