Hello everyone, I'm typing here not because I have a problem with the site or something is misunderstood.
I would like to share my experience in studying English by this site, which is helping me alot. I have been studying English for about two years, all only in this site.
At the beginning, with Elementary podcast wich it take me around 1 year and a half, then I start with Big City Small World, and this time I have spent just a few months if you take in accounts this one it was a bit shorter.
I think that the most important thing is to keep going, even that is hard and sometimes it takes ages to pronounce a word in the right way.
So if you want to learn English you have to study.
Now I will carry on whit Word on the street.
It sees to be interesting as well.
After this period of studying, I'm able to read newspapers, even I understand just a 70 procent, it doesn't matter anyway I'm able to understand the main meaning, I can speak with nativ speakers of English althowgh it was really tough at the start and what else, I'm able to watch movies in English.
During the period of my courses, I have watched movies in English with subtitle in English and everyday I have followed one text in English, I mean I have listened during I follow the text, and some times I used to listen stories in English. I know is a lot to do but my tip is just tray to do watever you want as long as you go through a cours.
And I have to add that after 2 years studying English, I found A job where is required Intermediate English level. So I feel proud of my and I want to say thank you to the team of British Council, for all their job.

Hello, Peter!
I realized what the problem is. I've tried different browsers. Buttons aren't visible only in Mozilla, which I use.

Hello Krig,

Thanks for explaining this to us. I tried on Mozilla and couldn't see the buttons, either, so I've reported this to our tech team. Thanks for helping us find this bug! We'll fix it as soon as we can.

Best wishes,
Kirk

Its a awesome website for English Learner.

Hello, LearnEnglish Team!
Why in preparation task there isn't possibility to check answers?

Hello krig,

You can check answers in the preparation task. 'Check answers' tells you if your answers are right or wrong. 'Submit' also gives you the full list of correct answers.

Best wishes,

Peter

I meant section "Preparation" with vocabulary activity, not the tasks in the tabs above the video.
