Hi there,First I have to congratulate you and thank you for great work, this is helping me a lot to learn English.
I have a little doubt about when Harry say ''I can squeeze you in'',what it means?
Cheers!

Hi Lucas,

For this kind of question, I always recommend consulting a dictionary. This is very easy - just type "squeeze in" in the search box on the right (just above the Look it up! button). If you do that, you'll see the definition of this phrasal verb is "to manage to do something or see someone in a short period of time or when you are very busy". Harry has a lot of work, but says that he can still do Olivia's website despite it.

Best wishes,

Kirk

Hi,
There 3 points below "your rating":
B1
Grammar: adjectives
Grammar: phrasal verbs (prepositions, particles)
Could you tell me the purpose of them? And When should I learn them?
P/S: My English skill isn't good!
Thanks

Hello nguyennha1211,

These are part of LearnEnglish's categorisation system and are useful links for people using the page.

B1 - this is the approximate langage level of this material; click on the link to see other materials at approximately the same level

Grammar: adjectives and Grammar: phrasal verbs (prepositions, particles) - these identify the structures which are focused on in the material.   Click on these links to see other materials which focus on the same areas.

I hope that clarifies it for you.

Thanks so much,
I only begin learning English, so there're many difficulties. I hope your website can help me improve it.
But when I learn Series 1 Episode 5 lesson, Should I continue learn these lessons or I only focus on Series 1 Episode 5 lesson?
I'm afraid of that If learn too much mean not good, because it diluted.
Best regard,

Hello nguyennha1211,

My advice is to go through the episodes in order.  Do the exercises for each episode and then move on to the next episode.  I think that's the best way to use the series.  Remember that you can use the other materials here on LearnEnglish too while you're working through the Big City Small World episodes.  For example, task 3 in the exercises for this episode is about adjectives, and you can find more exercises on adjectives in the grammar section of LearnEnglish.

Best wishes and good luck!

Ok, I will try to do it!
Thanks your advice, Have a nice day!

conversations use lots phrasal verb.it is very difficult for me. someone could help me?

Hi Asal.yli,
Most people find phrasal verbs difficult to learn, but of course it's important to learn them because they are used a lot, especially in informal English.
I would recommend that you pay attention to them when listening to/reading episodes in Big City Small World. When you see a phrasal verb, try to understand what it means from context. Then you can look it up in the Cambridge Dictionaries Online search box (on the right side of this page) to check to see if you've understood correctly. Please note that most phrasal verbs have more than one meaning, so be sure to check each dictionary entry.
Finally, be patient with yourself. Phrasal verbs take time to learn, but the reward is worth the effort.
Best wishes,
Kirk
