I'm so happy when I listen to this episode. Did you guy make it on Christmas eve? :) it sound like it's already in Christmas :)
Vietnamese people don't often celebrate Christmas day because our main religion is not Christian, but Buddhism. But now, young people in Vietnam usually spend Christmas day as a day to hang out( going out for playing), as an activity to celebrate Xmas day just like many other countries in the world.
When I write these letters, there are 19 days left until Christmas. I often feel a bit lonely and unhappy around these time.  I want to hang out in Christmas day with some friends, or maybe a pretty cute girl :D.
Is there anybody who lives in Hanoi can hang out with me? My number is xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Cheer!

Hello Anh Quân Chu!

I'm glad you like the episode - it does show what Christmas is like in the UK! Thanks for telling us about what you do at Christmas in Vietnam. Where I live, Taiwan, is also a Buddhist country, but Christmas is getting more popular here - people like to have Christmas decorations and give each other Christmas cards.

Sorry to hear that you're a bit lonely, but please remember our house rules ask you not to share personal information, including Skype and e-mail. This is to protect you and everyone else who uses our site.

If you're looking for something to do over Christmas, why not see if there's anything special happening at the British Council in Hanoi?

Merry Christmas!

Thank you for remind me, I'm sorry about that :D .This won't happen again, I'm sure.
In my school, the school authority have also organize an IELTs course. I always want to improve all of my English skill: listening, writing, speaking and reading. I will  be very happy if I have a good IELTs 's mark.
Beside, in the last few year in Vietnam, English skill had became one of the top necessary requirements to get a good job in offices. That means if you are good at English, you will get a good job and earn loads of money.
Thank the LearnEnglish Team.
Best wishes for you, Jeremy.
And merry Christmas, too! :)
