Even Rob's getting into the Christmas spirit, with some special presents for Stephen and some special Christmas words for viewers.

Watch the video. Then go to Task and do the activities.

Could you explain it, please?
1:10 ...under the tree we put (puts) a Christmas presents.
1:24 He puts the presents in a Christmas stockings.

Hello livikiwi,

At 1:10 Rob says 'we put a Christmas present' and the text, as you rightly point out, says 'Christmas presents'. We appreciate you pointing this out to us, but I'm afraid we're not able to fix that at this point.

You're also right about 1:24 and that is an error. Really he should have said 'a Christmas stocking'. I'm not sure what happened there, and I wish I could fix it as well. In any case, it's great that you've caught these errors!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

I want to fly on a plane, as long as you will sit near to me!

Is it correct?

I think " next to me " is correct

Hello Robertixos,

We usually follow 'as soon as' with a present form rather than 'will', but it is possible to use 'will' when the meaning is 'if you agree to'. If this is the intended meaning then the sentence is not incorrect, but it will depend on the context, of course.

Hello Teacher, I have a question, when i listen to english material to practise listening, should i watch transcrip while listening?

Hello cordid,

In general, I would encourage you to first watch each episode a couple of times (or more if you wish) without using the transcript. Then, even if you understood everything, it's a good idea to listen to the episode at least once while reading the transcript. Most people find it's useful to listen and read several times.

I'd also encourage you to pay attention to not just words, but phrases and sentences, since separate words are often pronounced together when we speak quickly. The more you notice this and practise pronouncing it - why not practise your pronunciation while you're listening - the more your listening comprehension will improve as well. This will also probably help your vocabulary, as well.

There's really a lot you can learn in each episode! Let us know how you get on.

All the best,
