Hello zarifi!

We really like it when students want to practice their English. That's why we have comment sections on almost all of our pages – so you can talk to other students!

However, please remember our house rules ask you not to share personal information, including Skype and e-mail. This is to protect you and everyone else who uses our site.

Have fun, and enjoy your stay on LearnEnglish!

Hello sh2009!

Since you're talking about an event in the past, you can just use the past simple:
I graduated in 2007.
Have a look at our page on talking about the past for more information.

Best wishes

Hello annoyed!

Welcome to LearnEnglish! If you look at my reply to amalalaufi below, you'll see some ideas to get you started.

If you want to work on grammar, the best way is to think of an area you have trouble with - for example, present simple - and type that into the search box at the top right of the page. You'll get a list of pages on LearnEnglish that talk about the present simple. Have a look at some of those! Also, a good way to improve your grammar is by listening to or reading English.

For vocabulary, make a note of new words when you are looking at or listening to other things, like our Elementary podcasts. You can keep notes in a notebook or use our WordBook App. Don't try to learn too many new words at once, but do try to look at them every day.

Hope that helps!

Hello amalalaufi!

Welcome to LearnEnglish! We have lots of material here to help you practice your English. First, though, remember that learning English perfectly can take a long time - be happy with the progress you do make!

To get the most out of our website, you should see this website as a library – just borrow whatever interests you! A good place to start is our Elementary Podcasts. These are short radio shows about different topics. To help your listening, vocabulary and grammar, you can listen to them, read the transcripts, and do the exercises. You can talk to other learners in the comments, too. There is lots of other material in our Listen and Watch section  as well. If you want to work on grammar, take a look at our grammar section.

Don't forget that we also have a search box. Put a topic you're interested in into the box – like 'meeting people' or 'the present simple' - and you'll get a list of pages about that topic.

We have a lot of different levels on the site, so don't worry if something is too hard – find something easier, and come back to it later. Just try to look at something every day!

Hope that helps,
