"On Lep Island, there was a masalai who had exactly ten heads. This masalai had two wives. The three of them lived happily together on their island…" Read this folk story from Papua New Guinea.

Author: Once, there were tree little pigs.
Browny is lying in a puddle.
Browny: Oink-oink, I’m Browny, I like to lie in a puddle and to bask in the sun.
Whitey is sitting in a chair and eating.
Whitey: Oink-oink-oink, I’m Whitey, I like to eat everything.
Blacky is writing on a blackboard.
Blacky: (cheerfully) I’m Blacky, I do Neuro-linguistic programming, I train my brain, do muscle-strengthening exercises and I dreaming to conquer the wolf!!!
Author: And here the wolf is appearing.
Wolf: I’m evil and frightful Big Bad Wolf and know about little pigs!!
The little pigs are standing in a row.
Wolf stabbing Browny, Browny falling.
Wolf stabbing Whitey, Whitey falling.
Blacky stabbing Wolf, Wolf falling.
Blacky: Hurray! NLP is working! Now I will get a power over everybody in the forest!!
Author: And here two wolf’s brothers are appearing. They both work for the FBI.
The wolf’s brothers: (all together) Is that you Blacky, who killed our brother? Take this!!
They throwing rags about (like pieces of Blacky).
Author: Blacky has been planning the attack on the wolf for a long time and thinking over every variants, but he couldn’t know about the wolf’s brothers who work for the FBI…

Yes, I had written it myself not so long before I red the story about Masalai. I found that my story is similar in some way with the story about Masalai and decided to post it here.

great story, but there is something i didn't understanded it: do this masalai a person like us but he have ten heads? is this a true story or a legend?
