Hi the team,
I'm sorry but I don't understand "go mate". What does that mean ?

Hi Stephane,

The phrase 'there/here you go' is a fixed expression. It means the same as 'there/here you are' and we use it when we are giving something to someone or meeting their request in some way. In this case Stephen is 'giving' the visitors the view they want: Look, there you go, it's the Houses of Parliament.

'Mate' here is just a friendly term. It means the same as friend but is more informal.

hi
Ash said : the weather’s so good, we’ll be able to see loads
what does LOADS mean here?
thanks

Hi Rezaya,

'Loads' here is an informal way to say 'lots' or 'a lot'. For example:

I have a lot of time.

I have lots of time.

I have a load of time. (informal)

I have loads of time. (informal)

Best wishes,

Peter

Sir, In this video Jazz Said "I did not realise in London people travelled around on boats" why didn't he say "I didn't realise in London people travel around on boats" I think he should have used present simple indefinite tense because He saw that people were still traveling and I think that they still do so work is still done then why didn't he use present simple instead ?

Hello SonuKumar,

Jazz could have used the present simple, for exactly the reasons you mention, and that would have been correct. The past simple is also correct, however, and can communicate the same idea. Nowadays people tend to use the present simple for the very reason you mention, but occasionally the past simple is still used with the same meaning.

All the best,

Good afternoon everyone is lovely to write here again.
When I think of meaning of the transport , the first type of transport is the car I think is the most used meaning of transport and the second time I think his public transport. Taxis, coach and some of places where are rivers and you can travel by boat. Some ofplaces especially on the mountain they have cable car, helicopter, train and so on.
And in some places people can ride by a camel or horse and another places you can ride on elephant if you live in India. I don't know it might be more type of transport.
If I talk about my favorite type of transport I think is the train I really really like to travel by train because it has more space than other type of transport I think he's really safe to travel by train and is really fast in the same time as coach and as a car. But I wouldn't say no if I had to choose between a boat and train I can choose both of them as well.

I need this video for my job. How can i download it ? help me
