Speed dating is a new concept for me. I never heard it before. Interesting.

"The more stuty English, the more learn about the world". Can I say that?

Hello Chuc_at,

I'm afraid that is not correct because the verbs need a subject. You could say, for example, 'The more you study English, the more you learn about the world'.

Hi teacher!
Can you help me the differences between the make and do? I get some difficult to complete task 2. Thanks for your support.

Hello Phương Thanh,

Often there is little logic to why we say 'make' or 'do' -- it's simply that we say 'make' with some things and 'do' with others. You can read a bit more about this on our delexical verbs page and in the Do or make? entry at the Cambridge Dictionary. If you have any other questions after reading those pages, please let us know and we'll be happy to help you.

All the best,

Hi Team.
Rob : Anyway, I wanted to look at some of the vocabulary of love and romance that came up.
And my question is:
Why does Rob use verb "wanted" than "want" in the sentence?
Would you like to help me, please?
Thank you.

Hi Nizam Balinese,

Both are quite possible here and can be used interchangeably in this context without any change in meaning. You can say 'I want to talk about...' or 'I wanted to talk about...'

Hello the Team,
I can't catch some words. At 00:38, Rob says, 'Anyway, I want you to look at some of the vocabulary of love and romance ...................... Watch these and tell me the love and romance words you hear.' Could you please fill the gap?
Thank you very much.

Hello Aung Thet Naing,

Rob's words are as follows:

Anyway, I wanted to look at some of the vocabulary of love and romance that came up. Watch these and tell me the love and romance words you hear.

Best wishes,
