I want to answer to the questions of my friends before
We use what a before the countable nouns, while we use what without a before uncountable nouns and countable in plural
For examples : What a beautiful day
What beautiful days
What great sunshine
If i am wrong some one correct me
Thanks very much for the advice
I've never known before that there is different between how and what when we want to talk about something surprised us
Now i know that i have to use what before noun and how when there is not
Thanks for your advice, Rob.
Dear Rob
My name is Pasang. Thank you very much for your grammar lessons that are very interesting.
I get confused in this lesson, please can you help me?
I just finished to write the second exercise with the use of what a , what and how.
I don't understand why the correct answer is for
what a wonderful day and what wonderful weather (instead of what a wonderful weather)
and what a beautiful dress and what horrible soup (instead of what an horrible soup)
thank you for your help

Hello
In the Language Task 2 when we should use ( What ) and when we should use ( What a ) , I mean what differences between them .
Thanks a lot for this amazing website .

Hello, Jalal akkad!
Thanks for your kind words about our website! Glad you like it!
In answer to your questions, we use What when the noun going after it is uncountable (weather) or plural (trains). When the noun is singular (beautiful dress) , we use What a. Don't be confused by the what – it's the same rules for using a that you can read about on our indefinite article page.
Hope that helps!
