Task 1

Task 2

Task 3

We use 'sound' with adjectives:

  • I think I should meet him. He sounds nice.
  • I'm trying to sound mature. You know, more grown up.

We use 'sound like' with nouns and pronouns:

  • Mature? You sound like an old lady!
  • Which of these statements sounds most like me?

Hi, may you check task3, question 4/6. The correct answer is "sounds like", but there is one more "like" in the sentence, so it becomes "What's that noise? It sounds like like your phone."
Thank you for the lessons. They are great!

Hi. I really enjoy this web site. Thank you. By the way I think that blind dates are dangerous.

Hello, why did Ashley say scarves instead of scarf? Thank you!!

Because it is an irregular plural. Both of them had to wear a green scarf to be easily recognizable (the girl and the new web-friend, I mean).

Hello Aaron,

Ashlie says 'Green scarves everywhere' because there are many of them - it appears that everyone in the park was wearing a green scarf that day!

Best wishes,
