Episode 12 - An old friend

Julia doesn't want to meet Sammy's old friends. What is she nervous about?

Language level

Beginner: A1
Pre-intermediate: A2

I don't have any old friends. Maybe I think My old friend is my grandmother. I can talk with her about my stories. We just talk by telephone. She lives in another country. When I have more free times, I visit her. She lives alone, so she really happy when anyone visits her.
She have a little garden, it has some kind of vegetable: lettuces, salads, onions...etc

I see my old friends a couple of times a year to have a lunch or dinner together. A friend of mine has a friend with an old teacher, but I don't.

Yeah... I agree with Julia, Sammy is not good at explaining things. or he just might want to be in a playful mood with Julia, on top of that.. when British people describe someone "Great" and "brilliant"....there are more reasons to get nervous...... I've learned, depending on the situations, there are a wide range of implications in such a word, actually! :)))))

I see almost never my old friends, because we don't live in the same country. Some times I met them in the restaurant, a room coffee, the cinema hall and the concert hall. No, I'm not friend with my teachers.

I'm excited to improve my english

My students love this series. Could you please upload the remaining episodes? I found the transcripts for episodes 13 to 15, but the videos aren't showing on the site.

Greetings from Italy,

Hello Gaby,

I'm glad to hear that your students are enjoying Starting Out! Episodes 13, 14 and 15 are due to be released on 28 March, 4 April and 11 April, so I'm afraid they'll have to wait just a little bit longer. Sorry!

By the way, would you mind telling us (on our Contact page) where you found the transcripts for those episodes?

All the best,
