Hello LearnEnglish Team,
Thank you for this great work.. I would like to ask you  a question..In this episode Olivia said : "You might be waiting a while if you sit here" and " I think we’ll need a big pot, this might take some time" I would like to know the meaning of the word might. When and how should I use it?

Thanks in advance,

Hi everyone,
I'm very happy when I find a wonderful website to learning English. For comment is not too long, I am asking some questions now:
First, why does Johnny use anyway in "Where are you from, anyway?" ? How does it mean?
Second, what does not by chance in "Not him, not by chance" mean?
Third, although I looked up dictionary but I haven't still understood the meaning and usage of the structure to be supposed to do sth. Can everyone help me?
Thanks, I love you so much :)

Hello conco!

We use anyway to show we are changing the subject of the conversation. Johnny wants to move on from talking about why he is there to asking where Susan is from.

By any chance is used to ask a question or request in a polite way. It shows politeness.

to be supposed to do sth means there is something you should or have to do. For example, you're supposed to be quiet in a library - you can talk, but it's bad if you do! In the audio, Johnny means he should be meeting someone.

Hope that helps,
