Dear teachers! Good evening! Please explain to me the main difference between Present Perfect and Present Perfect Continuous. If I understood it correctly the main difference is next: Present Perfect - the action isn't finished by the time of speaking or it's some news. Present Perfect Continuous - we are talking about some activity which isn't finished by the time of speaking, for example: I have been painting the ceiling the whole morning (now it's a morning).

Hello Evgeny,
The present perfect continuous has several uses and one of those is to highlight the activity rather than the result:
> I've painted the ceiling (it's done - result)
>I've been painting the ceiling (it may not be done - activity)

Hi,

In this above video teacher saying as an example for present perfect that........... "she is visited four different countries....." , Can we say "she has visited......." Which one is correct.

Hi sosario1987,

The correct form is 'has visited'; 'is visited' is incorrect. Rob uses 'has' but when the speech is rapid and contractions are used the pronunciation is indistinguishable:

She's visited four different countries this year.

Both is and has are contracted to 's. For example:

She's seen him [ = She has killed him]

She's seen by him. [= She is seen by him]

First of all, thank you very much for the lesson. Now, I understand the difference between the past simple and the present perfect.
but, I suddenly have a confusion when I try to make an example question regarding Jazz's touring.
When they have arrived at their flat.
Which ones of these questions is correct to ask?
1. Where have you been today?
2. Where did you go this morning?
