Hello again jpkeiros,

No, only option a is correct: We're waiting to meet Julie.

It is possible to make a sentence using the preposition 'for' but not with option b or c. You could say the following:

We're waiting for Julie.

We're waiting for a meeting.

We're waiting for the meeting.

We're waiting for the meeting with Julie.

However you cannot say:

We're waiting for meeting.

To get to know each other, we usually do self-introduction, well, I'm Tomoaki from Japan, I live in Saitama, next to Tokyo, to the north. I love math and playing the piano. My job is translation of English, nice to see you, everyone!

hello I am new hear.this part is my first work it was attractive, thanks a lot.
I cant understand what is the meaning of " thought so!" ?

Hello mina66,

We say 'thought so!' when something we believe turns out to be true. For example:

Hi there. Are you from Edinburgh, by any chance?

Yes, I am.

Thought so! I heard you speaking to the receptionist in the hotel. I'm from Edinburgh myself.

thanks alot

It's a great exercise!! It's very helpful to have both exercise listening and grammar.

Very useful

What I don't understand is ''I am a friend of mine'' it's somehow complicated.

Hello Ville,

We would not say I'm a friend of mine because it's not possible to be a friend of yourself!

The reason the phrase appears here is that it is a kind of joke. One person (Johnny) starts the sentence and another person (Harry) interrupts, so you have a sentence which combines the following:

I'm a friend of (Harry's)

(He's a friend of) mine
