It's very interesting for me because I didn't know before when to use "for" or "to".

I made a mistake to fill the blank "We're waiting ...Julia." I filled in "for meeting". But the correct answer is "to meet". With "for" is always used in case to mention about people? It seems be correct to me to use wait for + ~ing.

Hello kinobori,

The verb 'wait' can be followed by several constructions:

wait for + direct object

I'm waiting for John

She's waiting for the party.

wait + to infinitive

We're all waiting to start.

The soldier waited patiently to hear his instructions.

You could, therefore, say '...waiting for Julia', '...waiting for the meeting with Julia' or '...waiting to meet Julia'.
