I hate shopping especially in busy places.

Hi Teacher,

I have listened frequently how Ravi pronounced "duck". It makes me wonder. And i checked to Oxford online dictionary how to pronounce "duck". I listened it in British and American, but Ravi is very different of both.

Edy, Indonesia

Hello Edy,

There are many different accents within both British English and American English. What you hear in the dictionary is what is considered standard, but there is still quite a lot of variation out there. This is why Ravi's pronunciation doesn't exactly match what you hear in the dictionary.

All the best,

HELLO! I have a question to ask you. In Task 5, the last question, ' My mother always told me a story before I went to sleep'. I think it might be ' My mother always tell me a story before I go to sleep '. In my opinion, present form is more good because it has a signature word ' always ' , I learned about signature words that if it has ' always ' the verb must be present verb form. This is just my opinion. Could you explain me about this?

Hello May Thida Su,

The meaning of always in this context is not 'for ever' but rather 'all the time' or 'frequently'.

It's fine to use the past simple with always when something was normal in the past but is no longer true. Using the present simple would mean that it is still true now.

HELLO !!! I don't like shopping actually. I go shopping when I have to buy something. If I have not to buy, I don't go. Someone do window shopping, but I can't do that. Window shopping make me really tired. BYE!!!!

I love shopping, it is really a nice activity. I like to buy shoes, clothers, a lof of stuff. I like to buy in the supermaket too. It is like a hobby to me.

I like shopping because make me feel happy spend my own money earned with my job. I like buy things to me like clothes or accesories, also I buy things for my education like on line courses o scientist books.
Although I think is bad spend more money that you have creating a debt. You mustn't use a credit card or borrowing from others for buy things that you don't really need.

Well, it depends For my mode, if my mode right I love shopping in supermarket, I love shopping Stuff for house,I love shopping for clothes and love so much shopping online but I hate shopping if my bad mood or I’m busy.

I love it.
I think shopping is part of life as one has to get some essential needs for sustainable living.
Really, i don't. Because everyone has to do shopping for his or her needs whether one like it or not, its just what one has to be adapted to no matter the odds therein.
Actually, i enjoys shopping as its gives rooms to explore variety of trends about making choices.
