Can't I download the video?

Hello eain,

I'm afraid the videos on LearnEnglish cannot be downloaded for legal and technical reasons. Our audio-only pages have links to the audio files which can be downloaded, but the videos on our site can only be watched online.

Best wishes,

This great to learn

Hello every one ,
I 'm Mai Arafa from Egypt ,just for notice every time i pass by this site I'm getting real pleasure ,the way of learning here is different, the team is helpful, and Literally i m having fun like playing games ,I'm acquiring new vocab and even better I feel like I'm enhanced culturally, but I have a very big problem with my English I have French background so my pronunciation is keen to be French a little bit ,It will be to hear any advice in that issue? .. thank you for your support and your clever teaching way

Hello Mai Arafa,

We're always happy to hear that people enjoy using LearnEnglish and that our materials are helping them learn, so thanks very much for letting us know.

There's some general advice on improving your speaking on our Frequently asked questions page. The second paragraph mentions fluency, but it's also a great method for your pronunciation in general. For example, for each Word on the Street video, choose some phrases (I'd encourage you to choose mostly whole phrases, not simply isolated words) that you'd like to learn to be able to use or because pronouncing them is difficult. Listen to them carefully multiple times. Then repeat them. It's normal for your mouth to feel strange, as you'll probably be using the muscles in a different way. Practise saying them until it's easier and then compare your pronunciation to what you hear in the video.

Keep a list of these phrases and practise them from time to time. Your progress may feel a bit slow at first, but slowly you will go faster. And you'll not only improve your pronunciation, but also your vocabulary and even your listening comprehension!

Let us know how you get on.

All the best,
Kirk
