Hello Hà Thanhh,

There is no real difference in meaning but there are tendencies in use. For example, we can book or reserve a hotel room but we usually reserve a restaurant table and book an act (for a theatre or party, for example).

If you have a particular context in mind then we will be happy to comment on it for you.

Hi, everyone
Can you help me? I can't hear all the video. Can I have transcript? thank so much to your support

Hello Nguyen thi Hai Huyen,

At the moment, none of the Language Focus videos have transcripts. We plan to add them at some point, but I'm afraid it will be quite some time before we do. In the meantime, if you have a question about a specific phrase or sentence, you're welcome to ask us by specifying the time code (e.g. 1:43-1:49) of the part you don't understand.

All the best,
Kirk

Hello Kirk
Thanks so much for your respond early. I just can't hear some sentence that Ms Ashley told with Roph on Camden Lock 2 language focus. So I hope you can share about it.

Hello Nguyen thi Hai Huyen,

As Kirk said, we don't have the transcripts for the whole videos available yet, but we can help with an individual sentence if you can tell us at which point it appears (e.g. What is the sentence that Ashlie says after 1 minute 23 seconds?)

Best wishes,

Peter

Hello Peter
Thanks for your rely. I can't hear that Roph compliment Ashley on the first paragraph of the video and Ashley complain to Stephen when he went shopping with her.
Roph: .....
Ashley: Do you like it
Roph: How was shopping
Ashley: Shopping with Stephen is nightmare.......
Roph: Shopping for foreigner is difficult
Ashley:.....
These are some paragraph that I can't hear.Pls help me. Thanks so much

Hello Nguyen thi Hai Huyen,

The sentences are as follows:

Rob: Nice outfit, Ashlie.

Ashlie: Do you like it?

Rob: Yeah, yeah. How was your shopping trip?

Ashlie: Shopping with Stephen is a nightmare. It took him ages to find a present for mum.

Rob: Yeah, it looked sort of interesting. Actually, though, that's what I want to talk about: shopping. You think shopping is difficult, then imagine going shopping in a foreign language.

These are the first lines of the dialogue - I hope they are helpful.

Best wishes,

Peter
