Hello Chu Anh Quan,

The reflexive pronouns here ('themselves', 'himself') are used for emphasis here, to show that the sentences refer precisely to 'the bells' and 'Big Ben', rather than what is around them. One way to think of it is 'the bells themselves and nothing else'.

You can read more about reflexive pronouns here.

four and the Elizabeth Tower

I really like this short videos because they are a kind of guide for me about Britain. Thanks.

I can't see the video. I see the inscription "Connection error". Sometimes the video was avalable. Maybe you can halp me?

Hello Qwesa,

The video is working for me now – what about you? This kind of error is often due to internet connectivity problems or some kind of temporary technical problem. If you still can't see the video, are you able to see other videos, e.g. on YouTube?

All the best,
Kirk

Hello, Kirk!

I am able to see videos on YouTube, but I still can't see videos on britishcouncil. Unfortunately I don't know what's the problem.

Hi Qwesa,

Please try installing the Adobe Flash Player on your device – that may solve the problem. If not, could you please tell us what browser you're using and what version of the browser it is? Are you able to see the videos on LearnEnglish if you use a different device and/or browser?

All the best,
Kirk

Hello, Kirk!
I think that was a problem with my computer. I've changed some it's parts and now I can see the video. I hope everything will go well and I'll be able to see all videos on LearnEnglish. I really appreciate for your help.

It's a great pity. But now I again can't see the video. I use Opera 36.0 and Internet Explorer. They have the same problem. I have installed the Adobe Flash Player on my computer, but it didn't help.

Hello Qwesa,

Are your browsers the latest versions? I'm able to see the video in IE on my computer, but if you have an older browser, it may not display our content correctly. I'd suggest you try to view the pages using a new version of IE or Chrome or Firefox. If that doesn't work, please let us know what operating system (and version number) you use as well as the versions of the browsers you've tried. I will then check with our technical team.

Best wishes,
Kirk
