Hello. I think you are good fan of football. And everyone don't need to support big football club. I started to support Chelsea football club in 2012. In 2012; they won champions league. It was great nice moment of my whole life. But at nowadays i can't write my team matches because of i have lot of work. And i promising i will support this team always. And once day I will watch all matches of my team in whole season. it is my long time goal. I am writing from Mongolia.

I think, Manchester United is not big team. Because, Manchester United have a lot a fans and a lot of experience. So... look it now

What is the best way to do the task and improve my listening skill? for instance while im listening or after listening?
Greetings from Ecuador

Hello Roosari97,

I'd encourage you to experiment, but if you find it difficult to understand the audio, it might be better to do the task after you listen. Or you could always pause the audio to complete the task while listening.

Ideally, you should also listen to the audio at least a couple of times. Try it first without reading the transcript, and then after you've listened at least a couple of times, you can read along as you listen. Use the transcript to identify difficult phrases or words, and then make a list of them in a vocabulary notebook (there is some advice regarding this on our Frequently asked questions page). Study these words and phrases and also practise pronouncing them – this will help you improve your speaking as well as your listening, and you'll remember them better, too.

All the best,
The LearnEnglish Team

I don' t have any idea about that so perhaps i should keep quite.

Recently I like Liverpool in the Premier League.

Liverpool - is the first club in the Premier League which I support.

Yes, from this talk and also many other things I learnt that supporting football teams is a really big part of people's life in Britain. Like the person said, every kids at his school has a team to support. Another interesting thing is that in Britain people associates good sportsmanship with a lot of positive personal traits, which I think it's very reasonable.

Hello Teacher
Please must any verb that comes after the word "thought" always be in past tense e.g

I thought Nigeria was a very large country

Hello BlessingF,

Past tense verbs are quite common after 'thought', but, for example, 'would' and 'could' are also very common.

Best wishes,
