Great suggestions

Thank you British council, You're the best in the world. Your tips are completely helpful.

Great! I have been looking for these. Although, I am planning to start with ielts coaching in zirakpur that I found online. I would love to take help of these tips because I want to score nice bands in my test.

Hi,
thank you so mush for this cours.

Dear Sir
In IELTS Academic writing Task one, is it a must to write the question in you own words?
Is it called paraphrasing?
Thank you.

Hello Andrew.int,

In IELTS Academic Task 1 you are asked to describe, summarise or explain information which is presented in a visual form (a chart, diagram or similar). I'm not sure what you mean by 'write the question'.

You can read more about the IELTS test on our site for people taking the test. You can find it here: TakeIELTS.

The page for the Writing paper is here.

The site has a lot of resources for IELTS candidates, including sample questions and answers. I'm sure it will be helpful for you.

hello, i am a newbie here, and my skill in english is still bad. And one of my loopholes in effort to conquer ielts is in writing section. Is there a link to improve my writing skill better? Thank you.

Hello JFrost,

Have you tried our site for IELTS candidates? You can find it here:

https://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/

You'll find a lot of information about the exam and tips and advice on many aspects, including writing. In the Preparation section there are sample answers and mock exams for you to try.

Well, Peter, to be flat, I disagree with your advice of seeing that IELTS website for any help as I have gone through to it but the content does not help me in raising the score. Not me only, many of my friends have the same experience.

British council is just minting money and IELTS has become the tool for that.

When you ask specific queries on IELTS, they ban you. Is it a professional approach? Really, No,

Many applicants are disappointed with the way the IELTS exam is marked. Writing and speaking part is where the human interaction is involved and that is where most candidates lose marks.

Some examiners give high marks, but then the other teacher reduce it.

Personally,IT is not a trustworthy exam for me anymore.

Please publish my post as a feedback and do not remove it.
