Do you drink tea or coffee? How do you make it? With or without milk? With or without sugar? What other things do people in your country like to drink?

We always enjoy reading your comments and we read some of them out in the following episode.

it's nice, talking about the tea... I think I'm typically britisih. I drink a lot of tea everyday. I don't know why, I love drink tea. Every morning before I get to campus, I drink tea and after I get back from campus in the afternoon I also drink it. I drink it in the evening instead. But I don't put much of sugar in my tea. I don't like too much sweet and I don't put milk either. I think it's quite nice drink a pure tea.

Hello there, the podcast was a nice one. I didn't know that people in Britain had so much liking towards the taste of tea.
I couldn't do the exercises because it always said that there was an error - not even one exercise.
Talking about Nepal, that's where I come from, tea is probably, the most famous drink. People usually have a cup of tea as the first thing in the morning besides other items for breakfast, and then in the afternoon. It is generally the first thing that people serve to their guests. Tea is served with or without milk; that mostly depends upon one's personal liking.
Most of the people in Nepal are used to drinking milk tea which is made by mixing milk, sugar, fermented tea leaf granules and some spices. The spices mostly include ginger, black pepper and cardamom. These spices are added just before boiling the mixture in order to add more flavor. However, people living in the Himalayan region mostly take salty tea - tea made with milk and butter.
Talking about myself, I am sort of "addicted" to drinking tea. Even if I miss a single cup in the afternoon, I start to have a head ache. It's time I do something to chane this habit.

Hello Shuvanjan,
I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the podcast. I've tried tea in Nepali restaurants and it was very sweet, but quite tasty.
Can you give me some more details about the problem you are having with the exercises?

  • Does it happen on other LearnEnglish pages or just this one?
  • What web browser are you using?
  • Are you in Nepal at the moment?

Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team

Hello Adam,
Yes, sometimes the excercise do not open. Please check it.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Hello me-ashesh!
Sorry to hear you're having problems opening the exercises! To help us find the problem, can you tell me what browser you use? Also, what do you see when you click on the exercise? Just an empty page, or an error message?
Please let us know, and we'll try to help you!

Hello Jeremy Bee!
I use Google Chrome 19.0.1049.3 (latest one). Yes, just  empty page is seen. Please go through it.
Thank you

Hello Ashesh,
Chrome 19 is currently only for testing, so it's possible that's the reason you're seeing problems. I am using Chrome 18, the latest stable version and I can see all the exercises. Do you have the same issues with other web browsers?
Do other pages on LearnEnglish also not show the exercises?
Also, have you tried viewing the pages on another computer, perhaps one at your school or work?
Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team

Dear Podcasts team
hello everyone, my name is momen
I wonder why don't you collect every series from your great podcasts in a PDF file so we can download the whole series and print it so as we can read it anywhere at any time
I already have my own one for series one i print it all and I now enjoying in reading and studing from it it's really a helpful way and a wonderful idea
however I'm not interested in series number 3 as you change the way you present your program because I admire tees and ravi also carolina and want to listen to thire voice all the time not separated, any way I'm sure that you will find a new way which will be nicely for series 4 but please make it long, I mean the time if possible

Dear Momen,
We make PDFs available for each individual episode, but I'm not sure that many people are interested in one PDF file for all the episodes.
Sorry to hear that you don't like Series 3 as much as the first two series. Everyone has different preferences and it's impossible for us to find a formula that works for everyone. Many listeners found the episodes in Series 1 & 2 were too long, which is why we made them shorter for Series 3.
Best wishes,
The LearnEnglish Team

Hello guys,
What is very interesting-I came from country where tee usually drink people when they getting sick.Stupid but it is true. Many people in the morning take domestic drink called RAKIJA.It is very strong spirit but nice to taste.Normally only one shot glass and after that rest like coffee , breakfast and so on.The drink is similar like whisky but made from fruit(100% fruit without added sugar). Most people consume coffee then tee and I think they do wrong.Tee is much better and healthier then coffee. But RAKIJA is good as well.
