Hello I am from Romania and I would really like to learn English very good. I will post here one dialogue of introducing my friends. Perhaps if there is something incorrect about it, you will let me know. Thanks a bundle in advance.

Me: John do you know David?
John: I don’t think so.
Me: Ok then, I’ll intoduce you. John, this is my mate David.
John: Hello, David!
Me: We went to coledge together. He is from Norway.
David, this is John, we work together at the stock exchange. And he is a great fan of Charles Dickens.
David: Really? Nice to meet you.
Which is your favourite book?
Me: I see now you have something in common to talk about. I’ll go to the corner shop. Does anyone need something?

Hi,
the dialogue is quite good. The only thing I would correct is the last sentence, it should be Does anyone need ANYTHING? The word "something" is rarely used in questions, only in ones like "Would you like something to drink?" or "Can I ask you something?", when we are 100 % sure the answer is going to be "yes".
(Then there´s just a spelling mistake - it should be "college". And it´s "I would like to learn English very WELL", because in this sentence it´s an adverb.)
However, your English is great! it´s cool that you are from Romania, a lot of young people from Czech Republic (I´m Czech) visit Romania and say it´s great, I´d like to go there too.

Hi ,

Hello I'm Maria from Poland. I would like learn and good speak  English  :)

There was nor internet neiter even telly  when i was teenager. As i access this website of British council, i notice that  my english knowledge improves. i have started to learn english on sixty year old. Young people should speak english wery well and have good command on it if they want to be successful in their life.

I think I would like to meet Jude Law, because he's very funny. and makes me laugh.
Also Cameron Diaz because she makes me laugh too, very much.
I loved the couple they made in "The Holiday".

In my city people never relax because they never do anything stressing, we are 3WE.
In my city most of the people spend all the time in stores and malls and at the cinema.

I think actors do charity because they win some money, and they become useful to society. And Angelina Jolie, for instance, does something intelligent, and practical.

Excellent materials, thank you!
