Lots of students, from all over the world, come to Britain each year to study. Nick visits Oxford University and the London School of Economics and talks to some students to find out what it's like to study in the UK.

Do the Preparation task first. Then watch the video. Next go to Task and do the activity. If you need help, you can read the Transcript at any time.

Good work Learn a lot. Thank you .

I heard that Oxford is a very big and famous university.
I think Oxford is the most famous university that i know.

A lot of people say Oxford University is the best university in the world.
I haven't got a friend who has visited Oxford
The most famous university that I know is Cambridge University

Hi
I really enjoyed doing this one.
thank you very much.

I have heard about Oxford University and it is one of the most famous universities in the world. But unfortunately I have known nobody who has visited Oxford, the most famous universities which I have known are Harvard and Cambridge and Oxford.

Before seeing this video, I know Oxford University is a famous University in the UK. I have known a guy who had studied in the UK in one year. I don't ask him what university his study is, I thought he had visited Oxford. Now, he has a job at my hometown, but I feel the job is unstable. To me, Oxford University is the most famous university because they have published Oxford Dictionary that anyone has known. Every time I don't understand a new English word, I will check it in Oxford Dictionary

hello,
What is the meaning of ( your shot)?
It is the last sentence in the dialogue.
Thanks

Hello Ghaidaa1980,

Towards the end of the video there is a game of pool between the presenter and one of the other people in the film. 'Your shot' means 'Your turn' in the context of the game, because we call the act of hitting the ball with your cue (the stick used in this game) 'a shot'.

Best wishes,

Peter
