Listen to an interview with a recruitment expert, who talks about his experience of reading CVs and offers some good advice on writing them.

Do the Preparation task first. Then listen to the audio. Next go to each Task and do the activity. If you need help, you can read the transcript at any time.

Task 1

Task 2

Task 3

Weak forms are syllable sounds that become unstressed in connected speech and are often then pronounced as a schwa.

Example
In the sentence below the first 'do' is a weak form and the second is stressed.

What do you want to do this evening?

Weak forms are very common in English. Listen carefully and fill in the gaps with the missing words typed out in full.

Hi every one, happy new year .I'm a new in this page,I hope that I will improve my english.

Hello there,
I get this sentence from a dictionary, and I feel something weird here
I don't want him meddling in our affairs. Why the verb meddle is in gerund? And is it possible to say I don't want him to meddle in our affairs.
Thank you in advance.
Nice day.

Hi
i have question after i listened to this vedio that is why the  questioner say we’ll get studying! but not we have got studied.

Hi,
He says 'let's get studying' because he has just learned that it's important to speak different languages to get a good job, so they should start studying. 'We have got studied' is not really grammatical English.
Best wishes,
Adam
