Listen to an interview with a recruitment expert, who talks about his experience of reading CVs and offers some good advice on writing them.

Do the Preparation task first. Then listen to the audio. Next go to each Task and do the activity. If you need help, you can read the transcript at any time.

Task 1

Task 2

Task 3

Weak forms are syllable sounds that become unstressed in connected speech and are often then pronounced as a schwa.

Example
In the sentence below the first 'do' is a weak form and the second is stressed.

What do you want to do this evening?

Weak forms are very common in English. Listen carefully and fill in the gaps with the missing words typed out in full.

 Good morning Mr.Adam ,
Thank you very much for your reply , Actually I have now a British friend , She's very nice , and I think it's a good practise to speak English and listen to someone his/her accent is British ,
And I'm studying at the same time for my  IELTS test , wish to me luck , and I''ll post my question later , Thank you again .

 very good

This podcast is very usefull and interesting. I need to study English for my work and you are helping me a lot whit this site.
Thanks!!!

This program is very useful for me.
I learn more about from here.
Thanks a lot.

I'm working as a recruiter, so this audio is very helpful for me.
I agree with John's advices of writing CV - only relevant information!
And remember - you should write CV for concrete post. For example - if you apply for a job in any shop - don't write that you have been working in a laboratory for 2 years - it's not relevant. Write only this things which are needed and connected with post.
BUT: If You have been working as a waitress, and now you're applying for job in shop - You should write Your last job experience. Why? Because working as a waitress and as a shop-assistant requires social skills, good relationship with people etc. In this situation - it's relevant and all in all - both of these occupations are related.

Hi every one,
I hope i will improve my english language, specially my grammar and vocabulary.

Thanks
