For me this sentence is new: "How much is this magazine?". I thought that the only way to ask about a price is "How much does this magazine cost?".

Excuse me, I told a friend of mine about this site and I suggested him to register as I did years ago, but now I can't find the section to register. Is it still possible? And where can we go? Thanks a lot for your answer.

Hello cenzino.scaringi

Our registration options changed earlier this year and now new users can choose to use the site for free (without registering) or to subscribe, which gives them a username like yours and also access to LearnEnglish Select.

You still have your old account because we decided to maintain older accounts that were active, though you don't have access to LearnEnglish Select without subscribing. I'm afraid that, as a new user, your friend does not have the option to have an account without subscribing. As far as I know, you will continue to have your account at no cost for the foreseeable future.

All the best

I didn't underestand the meaning of "top sounds".can you explain for me.
thanks a lot

Hello farisan

It's the name of a magazine. As far as I know, it is a fictional magazine (in other words, not one that really exists), but in this context, I imagine that 'top' means 'most important' or 'most popular' and that 'sounds' means 'music'. So it's probably a magazine about the most popular music groups.

Hi.Have you got cold ones

Excuse me, is this the only video of the section SPEAKING Level A1?
Thanks for your answer.

Hello cenzino.scaringi,

As part of the reorganisation of the site we are moving a lot of material around, and the sections will be filling up in due course. In the meantime, you can use the search tool to find material at the right level and see which pages are most useful to you:
