Well, I'm from Estonia but have been living for a long time in Russia, so it is not very difficult to open a bank account in Russia if you are a national. You must provide original of your pass and fill an application. You can have your account opened the same day. I don't know about requirements for non-citizens.

Apart from a bank people often go to borrow money from privite institutions. They are called "micro financial organisations". But it is not a good way to get a loan because interest by such organisations is very high. Nevetheless they are very popular because of simple procedure of getting money.

In Ecuador there are national or international banls to open an account. There are also pu lic or private institutions available.
Documentation required to open accounts can vary depending on the institution, but they similar in general. Prove of residence with a public service certificate and it does not have to be neccessarily with your name.
You also have to provide original and a copy of your national ID and some companies require a letter from work or a personal recommendation from a person who knows you.
Banks also provide different options for loans and there are also private institutions that offer good deals regarding credits.

Hi, Kirk. Thank you for your comment.
I look into the connected link, Cambridge dictionary, but I couldn't find dinial sense in exaple sentences.

Where you find a lot of water, you will also find these beautiful insects.

Where you have to pay a deposit, be sure to get a receipt.

These both sentences express simple possibility.
So I think " Where they exist in your local area, contact details can be obtained from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau." means "If you find them in your local area, ~." Here I can't judge that this sentence mentions about the numbers of credit institutions.

Hi, I appreciate if you could give me some suggestions.
Task1 "Other credit institutions can be found in every part of the country", the answer was false. Where do I get the answer? Could you show me it in the transcript, please?

Hi kinobori,

The answer is in the last sentence of the transcript. In the phrase 'Where they exist in your local area', 'where' is a conjunction meaning essentially 'in the situation that', i.e. 'if'. This implies that credit unions do not exist in every locality.

This is a rather difficult question, but I hope that helps you understand it.

Best wishes,

In Vietnam, it is very easy to open a bank account. You just need to prove by your identity card and residence card. The banks offer us to open account to save money there or make loan from them so that they can get benefit

to open a bank account, it is more easy in my country than in the UK. as citizen, we just need to bring ID, fill the appropriate forms of bank, wait for less than 30 minutes then all done. I remember when I first tried to open a bank acount in the UK, the bankers made that very difficult for me as they request I should have job first (this same as in Hongkong), I can understand what their mean but let think what happen if I choose to be a housewife? so everymonth my husband gives me thousands of pound, where should I keep them safely?
anyway, I've got a job and the bank let me open an account, but that took weeks for make apointment and then another month for waiting since they accepted the request until I do got my bank card.
Diffirent to the UK, in my country when someone need more money than what they have, they often think to borrow friends, familiars.... first. I don't like that way as I hate to ask people for a loan even just in shortly time. But you know most of people in my country think as a familiar and a good friend, we should help that people when they are in need of money. even me, I feel bad to say no to them. it is very dificult situation!

I am sorry I don't trust communist bank in Vietnam unless foreigner bank that has a branch in Vietnam.

I am so happy... Cause this's very useful for me, but can you give a subtitle to every videos?
