It's maybe strange. but i could not understand the meaning of Supposed and Wonder in the sentences. actually, I know the definition of them but I don't know where we can use them in sentences. for example, the word supposed. I have heard it several times in different sentences but i couldn't understand it. Why we say: I supposed i am ill or something like this. Could you please explain for me. Thanks a lot.

Hello Hannah!

The difference is between believing and guessing. When you suppose something, you are not sure of something (you don't know it) but you believe it is likely. Wonder is for guessing and questions. When you wake up in the morning, before you look out the window, you might think "I wonder if it will rain today?" - you just don't know. Then you open the curtains, and see the sky is grey and the clouds are heavy. "Oh, I suppose it will rain today."

Don't forget we have an online dictionary - type in wonder, and the first result is question; type in suppose and the first result is think likely.

Hope that helps!

Actually there are two New Year 's celebrations in Vietnam. One is in the 1st January, and the other is also in the 1st January, but in the Lunar calendar :) The Lunar New Year's celebration is always later than New Year's Eve.
Cause Vietnam is a Buddhist country, so we always get the Lunar New Year's celebration larger than the New Year's Eve. Lots of happy wishes, lots of good foods, and lots of "red develop" for children, too :) you know what it is?
And I also have a question for the LearnEnglish Team.
The Team said that when a member of the site wrote a comment, he (or she) was also improve his (or her) writing skill. I think it is a good opinion, though.
But if we have something wrong with our grammar or our vocabulary, how can we know it?
So could you spend some time to help us about the writing part? I think I'm having a bit trouble with that.
Cheer :)

That's right! Chu Anh Quan,

hello everyone,
in my country, Lunar New Year is a important festival. everyone come back home to stay with family and they have a cozy party together. in new year's eve, we send lots of message to our friend and our relatives with the best wishes.

I'm Chinese, New year is the most important festival in a year, everyone will manage to go home to stay with family, and to meet our friends and relative, for the kids or single people can receive ' red envelop ' which contain some money meaning you'll have a good luck and grow up in this year, so it is more fun...

Maybe you should say "the Lunar" New Year is the most important festival in a year but the Solar New Year is not that important for Chinese.
