Hi Nizam Balinese,

Thank you very much for spotting this! I have updated the transcript to accurately reflect the recording.

Thanks again.

The video is generally quite simple to listen to and to understand.
What i was thinking of tho is that in the task no 2 in which we have to say whether a statment is true of looks like a bit tricky what sarah says and what the statments contain which makes it a bit "difficult'' to give the right "true " or "false" answer...

For example the statment " Sarah wants to get a new job because her current position is not challenging" i put on "false"...because when they ask her sarah replies " i want to take on more responsabilities"....and the statment says : because her current job is not challanging...!

I understand the meaning of taking new responsability and challenging....but sometimes they may mean two different things...!

Right ?

Hello Ilda,

The relevant part of the conversation is:

Marcia Boardman: Why are you thinking of moving on?
Sarah: Well I’ve come as far as I can in my current position, I feel and I’m 28 now and would love to take on some more responsibility.

When Sarah says 'I've come as far as I can', that means that she doesn't seem any more room to grow in her job, which suggests that she's not challenged any more. This is why the best answer to that question is True.

If that doesn't make sense, please let us know. And thanks for asking, as sometimes questions can be a bit confusing and we're happy to improve them.

The video is very interesting and useful. It simulates that we are immerse into the situation, The content is very real to me! Thak you a lot.

I loved Sarah apparience and her good manner. She is very confident and has the qualifications and experience that Phillip is looking for the company. Sarah is very professional and went prepared to the interview. She has clear what she wants to achieve in her life and in the new job. She's not only thinking about her necessities and dreams she's willing to do the best to obtain the companie's goals. She will be and excellent team leader to inspire people and help grow and expand the market for the company.

The video has such wonderful methodogy to improve professional English

very interesting to learn

I think it was a great video about preperation to the job interview. I hope it will help me a lot with my learning English. In my opinion Sarah did a good job and showed herself confidence and convincing .it is very important when you know what you wanted to say.As a rule it is a big plus that Sarah was doing a voluntary work at the centre for children with dificulties and can speak so many languages. and of course she has her own vision why the global market is changing so rapidly and had already had some guestions about company to the employer. it seems to me that she will have more chances to get this job and she is more suited to this position than other candidate.

Hello LearnEnglish Team,

could you refraze this sentence, please: "So this post would be quite a change then..."

Hello Edgariukstis,

Which part of this sentence do you find difficult to understand? 'post' refers to the job that Sarah is interviewing for, and Philip is saying that her current job at the other company looks quite different from the one she wants. 'so' is explained in the dictionary – be sure to look for the 'conjunction (SENTENCE BEGINNING)' entry (you have to scroll down the page quite a bit to find this'. 'then' means something like 'as a result' – again, see the dictionary (look for the 'adverb (RESULT)' part).
