Thank you!!
Hi Carolina,
I just wanted to write and say thank you for everything.
You and your family were amazing hosts. I had a great time at your house. Thank you for making me feel at home. I'm sure my English improved a lot because of all your help too! Also, thank you for all the wonderful cooking you did. Now I can tell everyone English food is not as bad as they say .
If you ever come to Sri Lanka, I hope you will stay with me and I can show you my city too.
Keep in touch!.
Pradeep
Tips
- Start with Hi if it is an informal email to someone you know.
- The email can have three main paragraphs:
- the reason for writing (= to say thank you)
- the main point (= more details or examples)
- a wish or offer for the future.
- Use emojis (e.g. ) or emoticons (e.g. :) ) to show you're joking.
- You can say See you soon / See you next year if you hope to meet again.
- Use a closing phrase like Keep in touch, Write soon, Speak soon or Take care.

Hi Michael!
I just want to say thank you for a couple of weeks in your house.
I had a great time at your house. You showed me many interesting things in your country. Your mother's chicken sandwich is the best delicious dishes I have ever eaten. Thank for your help, my English is better now.
If you ever go to my country - Vietnam, I will stay with you.
I will take you to walk on the shaded and quiet street. I will cook many delicious dishes for you :).
Take care!
See you later!

Not at all. I prefer to go a hotel in a new country and make a nuisance of myself.

Yes, I would love to stay with a host family in a new country. For me it will be a new experience for me. They will not only just help me to know about new culture and food but also make me feel like home in that country.

Yes, I think I'd like to stay with a host family in a new country. I'm the kind of person full of curiosity, so I like to meet different people, learn different cultrues and customs and I like to make friends. I'll be excited when I feel something is challengable and I'm always want to know the answers as soon as possible, so it will be better that have someone near to ask.

Hi Kim,
I am sending this email to thank you about 2 weeks in your house.
I had a lot of happy memories spending with your family. I have to say that your pancake is the best I have ever eaten. And although 2 weeks run too fast, my English was improved a lot because of your family's help.
I hope that you'll come to Vietnam onday and stay with me. I'll introduce to you my hometown, our well-known street foods as well.
So keep in touch.
See you soon.

i'm not sure it would be comfortable to live with host family. moreover, they are aboard. and i'm a little worried to meeting strangers whose culture, habits and language are different from mine. unless if i have intention to adjust them :)
