Sammy is impatiently waiting in front of the cinema. Will Julia spoil their date?

Julia: Hi!
Sammy: What do you mean, hi?!
Julia: Well. Hi. Hello. Good evening!
Sammy: No, Julia, it's not good evening! It's twenty-five to six!
Julia: Ah. Come on, Sammy! I'm five minutes late. Five minutes!
Sammy: No, Julia! The film started at ten past five. You are 35 minutes late!
Julia: Uh-oh. Was our date for five o'clock? Sammy! Wait. ... Look, Zombie Attack starts at a quarter past six. What time is it now?
Sammy: Twenty to six. But I hate horror films.
Julia: Yes, me too.
Sammy: My Brother's Wedding starts at twenty past six.
Julia: My Brother's Wedding?
Sammy: It's a comedy.
Julia: Great! Let's watch that.
Sammy: OK.

Julia: OK. It's five to six. What time does the film start?
Sammy: At twenty past six.
Julia: Great. We've got 25 minutes. Just enough time for a coffee.
Sammy: No, let's join the queue and we can get a coffee after the film.

Julia: It's ten to eight.
Sammy: Time for coffee?
Julia: Yes! What a great film!

I like watch movies, but I rarely go to the cinema I usually watch in the house. There are many kinds of films which I like. I don't have favourite film. If I must to choose, I'll choose the horror film. comedy and drama.

Hi good evening everybody this sentence is at present :I'm five minutes late...Correct form of the sentence:i was five minutes late....am i right???

Hello vahidvahediasl,

Both 'I'm five minutes late' and 'I was five minutes late' are grammatically correct. One describes a present situation and the other a past situation. Which you need depends on the context and what you want to say.
