Hi Sunny!

How are you?

We're finally coming to Singapore so I wanted to ask your advice on what we should do while we're there. What shouldn't we miss? We'll have our two kids aged 6 and 8 with us so ideally we want to do things we can enjoy as a family.

We've already got a hotel booked in Marina Bay and we arrive on 12 May for a week.

I hope you're around so we can meet up!

See you soon,

Janet

Hi Janet!

Lovely to hear from you and how exciting that you're coming!

You've picked a great area to stay in as it's right next to a must-see attraction, Gardens by the Bay. They light them up at night and the kids will love it. Another place to take the little ones is the zoo, and the Night Safari is really worth doing. The animals are much more active at night than during the day, so it's pretty special.

As for food, there's quite a variety here. I'd recommend trying laksa and kaya toast – they're both really typical Singaporean foods. You can also eat well and cheaply at street markets. You should definitely check them out.

Can't wait to see you all!

Sunny

P.S. My number here is +65 1234 1234.

Tips

  1. Start informal emails with Hi + name instead of Dear + name.
  2. An informal email can be like a conversation, so you can start with How are you?
  3. If you're replying, you can start with Lovely to hear from you.
  4. Use these phrases to make recommendations:
... is worth doing / seeing / going to.
    ... is a must-see (attraction).
    I'd recommend ...
    You can ...
    You should ...
  5. Say why you recommend those things.
  6. You can add something at the end using P.S.

Always, I recommend that all people have a Tripadvisor Account and that search where can buy to best price because Malta is an expensive country and with variables prices. Also, they should have a cellphone with a full-battery because is very necessary for every activity: order a taxi, book a hosting, take pictures and not get lost in its beauty thanks to Google Maps.

I'd recommend a visit to a must-see attraction centre in the city, a walking tour around the town, visit to a National centre like zoo or others and taking local dish in a restaurant.

Hi! I would recommend staying just outside the city center. They should try the local food and wine while they are here. The archeological and the naval museums are both worth going to. The castle is a must-see attraction. Finally, another thing that's worth doing is a walking tour of the old town. P.S. you shouldn't forget to wear a hat and suncream See you, Nikolaos

Hi Alejandra Lovely to hear from you and so exciting that you are coming! I will be at Santa Martha in May, so that we can meet there. Well, I would recommend staying at the Hotel "Parque de los Novios", it is in the center of the city, so you are close to everything. I know you've never seen the sea, so you should definitely go to "Marina", and El Rodader beach is another must-see. As for food, there is a great variety here. Fish is worth trying, a typical coastal food, and you can also eat well and cheaply in the market square. I can not wait to see you! Jasmine PS I'm going to travel with my boyfriend

Hi John, How are you? Lovely to hear you and your family coming to Myanmar soon. There are many nice places should stay in but I recommend staying in Chatrium hotel near to the Bogyoke market, one of the must see places. Shwe Dagon pagoda is the most famous place and is worth going to for every visitor to our country. You should try some local food such as moke hin gar and Myanmar traditional coconut rice and chicken. See you soon John.

Hi Peter, Lovely to hear from you and how exciting that you are coming! You chose a nice looking place in the center of the city where I live. Several visiting places including a worth seeing park, national museum and a big must-see zoo. You should visit the museum as a history student. Park is quite active during the day time and has beautiful sceneries. The city has a good transportation system and a lot of well-furnished hotels. I would recommend choosing a moderate cost hotel because it will save money as well as provide better services. You can taste the street food which delicious and not expensive. Riding rickshaw always fascinating in our city, you should check it out. I am looking forward to seeing you soon! Elius

Hi, Lulu How are you doing? I m so excited that you are finally coming in our city! We haven t seen each other for years ( still that didn t stop us for making call videos every week) It s summer season, so days are dry and sunny. I should recommend to to visit one of our four lakes, named Krupac, it s nice for enjoying druing the summer. Also it s worth seeing our hill Trebjesa, especially for long walks and breath in healthy enviroment. In the evening you should go at the hub of city - there is a lot of cafes and eatery were you could eat and listen music live, and all for a good prices! I look forward to seeing you

I hope you are going well and It is very appreciate to know you are going here. Istanbul is a very big city and there are millions of choice you can do with your family. For example, you can go to the Bosphorus and see the uniqe landscape. You should go a restauront and eat fish there. In fact, I highly recommend you to see Yerebatan Sarnıcı in Sultanahmet. Even you will hear about there because it is a very popular tourist attraction. If you like history, there are numbers of places you should see. You can visit Topkapı and learn about Ottoman Empire's history. As I said above, please don't hesitate about what you would like to do İstanbul so you probably will confuse about options. However, you should be careful about taxi and restaurant. It is better to ask when you rent a taxi about what you have to pay. It is important to look menu and ask price before you order something. Looking forward to see you again. Selman
