Great mains, pity about the chips

Came for lunch with my sister. We loved our Thai-style mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive for a vegetarian restaurant.

But the service was below average and the chips were too terrible to finish.

When we arrived at 1.40, we had to wait 20 minutes while they got our table ready. OK, so we didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant was only half full. There was no reason to make us wait at all.

We ordered the chips as a side dish and they looked delicious. But, when we tasted them, they were overcooked and swimming in oil so we left most of them. We expected a lot more for $10!

When the waiter asked if everything was ok, we said we really didn't like the chips and he said 'That's funny, I love them' and that was it. He didn't offer us anything else or take them off our bill. Also, when we didn't leave a tip, he looked annoyed.

I was really excited about visiting Vega, and the mains were just fantastic, but the rest of the experience was really disappointing.

Since you guys post all about bad experiences. I will try to change the atmosphere a bit. This is my wonderful experience of eating. Right now, as recalling the fried rice I've eaten, my mouth couldn’t stop swallowing saliva. It was so damn delicious! The store was small, ordinary, and has nothing special at all. I went with my elder brother, he ordered ramen, and I’m not into liquid food so I ordered fried rice. Before the foods arrived, I was like “Meh, just eat to fill my belly anyway”. But the moment the food touched my tongue, my eyes were wide open. Damn! The hot food, the just enough salty, the tasty meat, the fresh-chopped vegetables, and the SPICY (I'm a spicy dude tho). I swear it is the most delicious fried rice I have ever eaten. It’s even better than my mother cooked. Since then, with him, we go to eat there regularly. We skipped cooking to go out to eat. And whenever we had to leave our city for weeks or months, our first and only choice was nothing but fried rice. We were addicted to that divine fried rice! The price couldn’t be any better. The only down thing was we had to wait about 20 mins to get our meal because they made it so carefully. Customers and the food delivery service were always in line. The store has been open for about a year. And when COVID pandemic struck, they had to close. And they never come back. I wish that I had the store owner's phone number, so I would be able to find them again. And that’s all. Thanks for reading guys!!

I don't really remember if I had a bad experience at restaurant, because every time I want to go to eat at restaurant, I always read the restaurant review online. Restaurant review is so helpful for the new customer and culinary hunter like me. I wrote plenty of the reviews too and most of them are good.

That is very sad. I also had a bad experience in a restaurant. I was very hungry and when i saw this restaurant, all the food looked tasty, but the meat was half raw. I have lost my appetite.

Chiplotte When I was leaving the university, my friends and I were walking down the street looking for something tasty to eat, and suddenly a place where they sold tacos came, we had to wait for about 20 minutes the place was small and there were too many people. When we were served the food smelled delicious and we didn't take long to try the tacos, we ate everything was delicious. After finishing, the waiter came up and asked how the food was and when we left we didn't leave a tip because we ran out of money. The waiter looked at us and seemed annoyed and we decided not to go back to that place.

The food was cold. I was shopping in the town when I got starving. I went to the close restaurant. When I arrived there was full of people. I had to wait 20 minutes to get a sit. I order the first main that was in menu. It got after 30 minutes I order it. When I start to eat the food was completly cold I didn't want to eat it, but I was really hungry, so I eat everything. There was no wainter at the moment I fineshed, so I get to the manenger to complain about it, and he said the was not his problem. Because of it I just leave the money and got out of there. I'll never go back to that place. Everything was terrible.

My bad experience of meal was with a typical food called kebab. I was tired of a long trip and decided to eat sometthing near the hotel. Some restaurants were closed so had to eat in this restaurant. I only ate two slices of kebab because it was a strong flavour for me. I slept hungry.

Chinatown foods When I was a junior high school student, I went to Chinatown with my friend. I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant. The restaurant was not very crowded, I entered it in about 5 minutes. The clerk was very responsive and a very kind person. I ordered ramen and fried rice. They looked delicious. But, when I tasted them, they were not very good. And I was surprised because the price was higher than ordinary ramen and fried rice. Also, the amount was small. so this restaurant was a little terrible. There are many restaurants in Chinatown. That is why I think it can be difficult to choose a restaurant. So I thought I should find out what kind of restaurant there is before going to Chinatown.
