I often do that in official meeting to respect all of the people that are present in the meeting.
I never used to switch off the mobile phones to get focus in the meetings. So all the time I am facing the issue because of that. I felt it is a good idea to switch off the mobile phone while we are in meetings. It can make us free from the interruptions made by it.
