Dear Sir or Madam,

I have seen your website and I would like to know more about your English courses.

I am interested in taking a two-week course in August. Are there any places available, and what are the start dates?

Also, do you have any accommodation for those dates?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Simona

2. If the person who wrote to you gave you their first name, you can use it. Hi is less formal than Dear.

3. To reply to someone’s email, start with Thank you for your email / your interest / the information.

4. Say I am attaching … or Please find attached … to tell someone what you have attached to the email.

5. Finish with Regards, and your name.

Hi Sr or Madame
I have a question: why in the task 1 in te sentence the answer is true?
1. Simona is writing to Susan for the first time.
I think that, the first email Simona wrote was to the City Language School, she didn't do directly to Susan. Is it right?
Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

Hello PaulaRuiz,

Yes, that's correct. Also, the email explains why Simone is writing and says that she has seen the website, which suggests that she has not had any contact with the school before this email.

I have been studying English for more than 10 years. During the time, I fell in love with the British accents. So yes, I would like to study in the UK.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have started to learn English on this website and I would like to know how to do it with maximum efficiency?

Do you have some tips about how to learn languages or how to learn in general?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,
K

Hello klshnkv,

I'd recommend you first spend some time looking around the site to see what's available and that you take the level test, unless you already have a good idea of your level.

After exploring the site, start with whatever looks best to you. If nothing in particular appealed to you, I'd suggest our Skills section as a good place to start. Some of our users really like the Podcasts as well, so those might be worth trying as well.

We also have some (paid) Online courses that are quite popular that might be worth checking out.

I hope this helps. Please don't hesitate to ask us more questions.

All the best,
Kirk
