Is buying or selling second-hand things online a good way of shopping?

In my opinion, the answer can be different according to the kind of product. For example, It's better to buy brand-new electrical goods or clothes. But about some goods such as tables, chairs, closets, and so on, we can think about new and clean second-hand.

Personally, When I want to buy something, buying second-hand goods Is the last solution. If I'm in a rush and I need it right away, also my budget is pretty tight, I'm choosing this way. Otherwise, I'm waiting to buy it at the right time.

Selling second-hand things is one of the best ways you can get rid of things that you don't want to use anymore. Maybe your taste has changed, or don't have enough space to keep it, or even better, you are supposed to buy a newer one.

Of course, I confess. If there wasn't the online way, I wouldn't probably do it. It would take a lot of time to go and see goods in person. The advantage of being online has convinced me to do it.

Hi there
Could I possibly ask you a question?

Given that the word "distriction " has been obsolete. (it is similar to District)
do you use this idiom : you have jumped over your distriction
It is used when we are trying to tell somebody, cut your coat according to your clothes

I have searched on the Internet but I haven't found anything

Hi Ensiye,

I've never heard or seen the word "distriction" used, including in that idiom.

Yes,It is. If the second hand things are still in good condition, we should buy them. They are much cheaper than the new one. But we need to be careful not to get scammed.

Yes, It is. If the Items in perfect condition, reasonable price, so why should we buy a new one. we can save our money by getting something not new. In some cases, I believe that the secondhand items is perfect for my need

No, because there are many scammers. I recommend you to buy secondhand online things only if it is someone verified or trusted.

Also, it is a sustainable way of shopping and great for the environment. It is good because you are "reusing" other people's leftovers that they do not need. For example, you went on Gumtree, a second-hand online shop, and you see a book you want, so you get it, not just buy another one from the bookshop. As we know, reusing stuff can help our environment.

In my opinion, second-hand shopping is quite good, but also a bit bad. Although second-hand shopping is good because when it is in good condition, it is cheaper than the original one from the shop, it can also be unhygienic and can get some people sick. As you know, when someone is sick, germs spread on everything he/she touches. So buying second-hand stuff could carry germs or diseases, but overall, it is a great way of shopping if you are aware.
