Great mains, pity about the chips

Came for lunch with my sister. We loved our Thai-style mains which were amazing with lots of flavour, very impressive for a vegetarian restaurant.

But the service was below average and the chips were too terrible to finish.

When we arrived at 1.40, we had to wait 20 minutes while they got our table ready. OK, so we didn't have a reservation, but the restaurant was only half full. There was no reason to make us wait at all.

We ordered the chips as a side dish and they looked delicious. But, when we tasted them, they were overcooked and swimming in oil so we left most of them. We expected a lot more for $10!

When the waiter asked if everything was ok, we said we really didn't like the chips and he said 'That's funny, I love them' and that was it. He didn't offer us anything else or take them off our bill. Also, when we didn't leave a tip, he looked annoyed.

I was really excited about visiting Vega, and the mains were just fantastic, but the rest of the experience was really disappointing.

Tips

  1. Use an informal or semi-formal style.
  2. In the title, give the main idea or opinion.
  3. Write about the important parts of the experience, not every detail.
  4. Organise your ideas into paragraphs.
  5. Write about the good and the bad.

It has a nice restaurant space, but the hot pot taste is below average.

I went to dinner with my friend. She and I love trying ramen, so we decided to follow a suggestion from Google. But this time, we were disappointed.

The space and service were nice. We got a table and our food quickly. Unfortunately, the taste off the hot pot was terrible. The broth was cold, and the vegetables even showed signs of spoilage. We ordered more hot pot meat slices and vegetables, but the meat was not of good quality, the vegetables were not plentiful, and both were quite expensive.

I do not recommend this restaurant, and will not come back again.

Yumm restaurant

Last week we visited your restaurant after a friend suggestion , we arrived at 3 pm and it was easy to find a table we ordered burgers and buffalo wings also fresh juice

The burger was amazing , big patty and juicy but the bread seems to be not fresh enough. For the wings it was too spicy for medium spicy!!

What makes me forget all this is the stuff !! When I told him so he apologized & give us a free double chocolate cake & it was an epic.
I think I will give it another chance.

Have you ever had a bad meal in a restaurant?

A slimy restaurant:

A few years ago, I went with my parents to Paipa; we went to the thermal pools and then we went at a small restaurant near to there... The service was very regular, the waiter took a long time to serve us and the table was dirty.... Anyway, we made the order and we wait... The food looked good and everything was going well... We were going to start eating but my mom saw something moving throught the salad... It was a Slug!.

It was disgusting! We decided to notify the situacion and withdraw from the restaurant... I remember that we went to other side then of that... But the experiencie was disgusting for us...

Actually, I haven’t had a bad meal at a restaurant yet, because I’m a pretty easy eater. However, I tend to stick to dishes I’ve tried before and rarely order something new. I almost always eat at home, and when I go out with friends or celebrate a special occasion, my besties and my parents choose a restaurant we’ve been to before.

I was try a new restaurant a few days ago in south Africa. After work, My sister and I want to have some funny food outside. We went to the local restaurant in kloof street. They speciality is to cook with locals products. We went there at 2:30 pm, we hadn't make a reservation before. When we arrived, the waiter was very helpful ; find us a place in the minute. their premises were very beautiful, we had some plants and vintage atmospher My sister choose shashuka (it is some tomato soup, with feta and toasted bread); me I went for a local burger and side dish of chips. It's was tasty, but the chips have a lot of salt. for the desert we took a very good pistachio cake. The bill come to 33 euros. It was a good experience, I can recommande this restaurant.

Yes, I have had a bad experience. In October, I decided to celebrate my birthday in Italy with my family. We reserved a restaurant in front of the sea. The view was wonderful but not the service! We waited half an hour for a table and there were few people. Then when I ordered, I said I was celiac but unfortunately the meat had some bread crumbs! I was angry! We decided to leave without paying.

A month ago, I went with my friend in a famous restaurant .All people who I know suggested me  this restaurant. Ok the view was fantastic and the service was cool but the food is the worst thing I ate in my life. I don't know maybe was just a bad day or the chef wasn't here but we left all the food in the table and we left.

I had a bad meal in restaurant recently, on the last week I think. We have visited the restaurant of russian food in Pattaya city, Thailand. I ordered beef goulash with mashed potatoes for main and vegetable salad for side dish. Everything was awful. Mash was full of lumps, goulash was undercooked and vegetables were of strange taste like they were not fresh. Prices in the cafe were average and nobody waits tips there in Thailand, but not pleasant all the same.

Last week I went with my friend to a Turkish restaurant which has good reviews on Google Maps, so firstly the staff were very friendly with most customers, and they welcomed us warmly. The food was tasty and in a good quantity comparatively to his price, we took kabab and some grilled chicken with some starters, so when we finished the food, they offered us a free dessert and extra apple tea, and seriously, it was the best tea I ever had. To sum up, If I had a chance to go again, I'd go without hesitation.
