It depends. There are some people I chat with a lot, and others I prefer to see in person to talk
I prefer texting for making plans than calling on the phone. I'm too shy to make a phone call. Beside, making plan over the text is easier than on the line, we can share the pictures of some places and fine the menu in advance if we're going to grab a meal.
