Chemist: Hello, can I help?
Customer: Yes, my wife sent me here. I, erm, need something for a sore throat … and I can't stop coughing. It really hurts.
Chemist: Do you have a headache too?
Customer: Not really, no.
Chemist: Well, we have this syrup. And these lozenges.
Customer: Which is better?
Chemist: They're both good. The syrup is more expensive.
Customer: Oh, well … I'll take the lozenges, then. How many do I take?
Chemist: Just one.
Customer: Sorry, I'm sorry. Er, how often should I take it?
Chemist: Just one every four to six hours. Take it before mealtimes. Are you allergic to any medicine?
Customer: No.
Chemist: Then you'll be fine with this.
Customer: Can I get some antibiotics too?
Chemist: I'm afraid you need a prescription for that.
Customer: Ah.
Chemist: You know, you should really see a doctor if that cough continues.
Customer: Thanks. I know.
Chemist: Anything else?
Customer: No, thanks.
Chemist: That'll be £7.49 then, please.
Usually due to atmosphere change as i live in hot country we do not suffer a lot from Cough or flu because we got a dry whether.
I used to get sore throat in the past but now it seems it goes far way from me since i know the how to avoid or due with it. First, i often do excersice three times a week, second, i eat good food like green leafs or vegetables, third i keep my mind relax eventhough i get sicknick. Finally, it's should be the most important to reduce then recover the cough that i drink pure honey and gargle with salt water to soothe my sore throat.
I caught a really bad cold, so I went to the pharmacist. He gave me some antibiotics, vitamin C, and syrup. After a few days, I felt much better.
I often find myself good with cold. I don't get it much; however, if I get it, it is very harsh on my health. I usually don't like taking medications and try to brave the disease through its period of maturation and until completion. Medication is also useless against common cold; it only treats the symptoms and not the disease. In the end, you have to wait it out until it finishes. Although I said I don't take medications, I sometimes rarely do so; it is basically the standard stuff that is used to amleoriate the symptoms like paracetamol, pseudoephedrine, and antihistamines such as diphenhydramine or chlorpheniramine.
I often get a cough or a cold. Unfortunately, I forget to dress warmly on cold days, and I think that's my main problem. First of all, I recommend having a warm drink. The best option is water with honey and lemon. Secondly, you should rest in bed. If you feel dizzy or very unwell, you should go to the doctor. They will take care of you and tell you what’s best for your recovery.
How often do you get a cough or a cold? What do you recommend?
I usually don´t get a cold frequently, maybe once a year. However, when I do it is strong enough to keep me in bed for almost two days. In the last two weeks I have been feeling similar symtoms to the man in the recording, sorth throat and cough. In my country, you can easily acces to different medicines, even antibiotics. We know self-medicating is no good when you have a serious illness.
How often do you get a cough or a cold? What do you recommend?
Usually, I get cough or cold three times a year. I recommend drinking a lot of water; of course, eat vitamin C fruits such as orange, berries, lime and other ones. Most people say that is important to get sick 1 o 2 times a year to strengthen your human system.
I usually get a cold maybe twice a year, especially in cold weather, in my experience, my mother used to give me some medicine, I recommend to dressing warmly in cold weather, and when you,re sweating don't take off your clothes immediately
How often do you get a cough or a cold? What do you recommend?
Well, in my experience it is not very frequent, but maybe 2 or 3 times a year I get a little cough or a cold. If the symptoms get worse, I recommend to visiting a doctor, he or she will write you a proper prescription, if you don´t recover or continue to fell very bad, if you don´t see any change, it´s better to visit a hospital Emergency Room, because you don´t know what is going on inside your body, so maybe you will need some medical tests or stay a few minutes in an observation room.
I often have a vough and sore throat in winter when the weather get colder and also in the transition phase between winter and summer,I do recommend warm drinks dress warm clothes ,take a syrup for the cough
