I live in Kazakhstan and I see how geography influences to local people. Especially It is well traced nowadays. Russia, China, USA and the Muslim World want to have the key position in our place.

Hi! In my country, Romania, on the part where are the mountains (Transylvania) is colder in the winter with great green summers and very calm people. The part of lowland, south aria is a plain terrain more arid where the grains is cultivated and the summers are very dry. The population from this parts is more agitated and have a quick temper. We have beach region, to the Black Sea where everybody enjoys the annual vacation. I think that the climate, the geography influences the culture and the way that people are.

I am a Peruvian girl and we have three different regions: Coast, Jungle and Andean in Perú. In my opinion, the weather influence in people and their music. The coast and jungle have a hot weather and andes region is cold. The music in jungle and Coast is to move faster and andean music is to move slow.

On other hand, we have the Cordillera de los Andes and the Corriente de Humbolt, both are very important because give a big and diverse climatics all over land of Perú.

Hi Dalita,
I think your idea could be right because in my country the weather affects population's music in each region from Morocco even the culture is different between hot region and cold region.

I haven't got why the speaker used "that" adjacent to "which" in the sentence "By far the largest island is that which is divided into three countries...". To what I know, this sentence should be: "by far the largest island, which is divided...". Was that because of spoken language?
Sorry if I misunderstand this. Thank you!

Hello Duc Tran,

In this sentence 'that which' means 'the one which':

By far the largest island is the one which is divided into three countries...

Hello Wenjie,

Your device should not cause any problems - I also use a Macbook Pro and so I know it is compatible. There are sometimes problems for users in certain geographical locations with some videos or sometimes there are temporary technical problems.
