The lesson is very useful, though they speak too fast for me, I had to read the transcript afterwards as I couldn't catch some phrases. And I liked the phrase 'prior engagement', I am going to add it to my vocabulary. Thanks a lot!

Hello Titika,

I just wanted to encourage you to keep up your work - the more you listen, even if you need to use the transcript to understand everything, the better your comprehension will get. We have lots of videos with transcripts once you finish these - see Word on the Street, for example. And keep a list of new words and phrases (such as 'prior engagement') - this is an excellent way to expand your vocabulary.

Most videos can't see for me!

Hello asayew,

It sounds like you need to download and install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player on your device. That usually solves problems with the videos, but if not, please let us know.

I have already installed adobe player based on your suggestion but still no change. From your program 'words from the street' was my favorite topic and I couldn't see the video. What shall I do?

Hello asayew,

To test to see if the problem is related to your device, I suggest you try accessing the site on a different device (a laptop or desktop) to see if that helps.

that bloke reads too fast :)

I think there are some tiny wrongs in the transcript like " it means you’ve got to wear a suit" " my granny died ages ago". "wear" should be changed in to dress and "ages ago" should be changed into eight years ago. I'm I right?

Hello ThaoUlis,

I'm afaid not! I've checked the transcript and it is quite correct. Try listening again and paying special attention to those sentences to see if you can hear exactly what they're saying.

Best wishes,

Peter
