Hello Mark,
I took an ielts exam 3 times and never goes up from band score 6.0
I have been studying English since 2000.
But whenever I take ielts exam I stuck in reading section due to lose my temper to find an answer while the correct answer come and go in front of my eyes.
Time goes out of my control and in middle of exam I could not tackle appropriately.
What would be your advice to me about my problems?
Thank you so much

Hello Ashkan2017,

Have you considered taking an IELTS preparation class? I bet that a tutor or class could really help you. If not, you might want to check out TakeIELTS as well.

Good luck!

Please how can I improve my speaking.
another thing now I'm in intermediate level.
Thanks.

Hello majdoubi,

The best thing would be to take a class, but if that's not possible there are several things you can do. I actually just gave some advice on this to another user, so please read it and then feel free to ask any questions you have here.

i don't have any advice to give everyone to improve his english. Personaly, i try to do differents things all the day: read, write ans speak. I think the most important is to practise regularly. Have a good practise

Every time i read, i will be getting bored. Please give some advice for me to overcome it.

i think you can find something interesting to read in english, short funny stories, i'm a big fan of star trek and i try to read fan fictions or comics about star trek. For me it's interesting and practies and the same time)) i agree that can be difficult at the first time, but you get used to..

Hello mark,

Everyone is motivated by different things, so it's difficult for me to give you specific advice, especially without knowing you. But many of my students focus on how much a good mark on the exam will help them. In this way, they focus their attention for the relatively short time that an exam requires. Doing practice exams will also help you, I expect. There are a couple of free practice exams, as well as lots of other information and advice at TakeIELTS -- I'd suggest you take a look.

Good luck!

All the best,
