Hello Hali52,

I'm afraid we don't provide feedback on users' writing; we are too small a team to be able to provide this service. I'd recommend you check TakeIELTS for more on how IELTS writings are evaluated. I believe there are a couple of sample writing papers there as well, which could be useful for you.

Good luck!

may i know.. how exactly can i measure the no. of words? is there any limitation range for the no. of words, like.. not more than how many or not less how many, will not have score deduction.

Hello pacific blue,

The best way to check length is to count lines and multiply by your average number of words per line. It's important not to go under the minimum word count as you will be penalised - how severely depends upon the text itself, how short it is and how far the task has been accomplished.

You can find information on this and on the exam in general, plus tips and advice, practice materials and sample answers, on the British Council's site for IELTS candidates: TakeIELTS.

Best wishes,

Preeti and I have a boat.it is theirs. Or it is ours. Which one is correct answer. If it is ours then explain or if it is theirs then explain it.

Hello Maan,

'Ours' is correct here because the pronoun represents more than one person and includes the speaker.

Best wishes,

Kirk I want to speak fluent english. I know grammar very well. Even I read newspaper for last ten years. But still I am not fluent. I am an english teacher. Here people explain literature english into hindi in india. But I want to explain literature english to English with appropriate words. What have I to do. Plz guide me in details

Hello Maan,

The first thing I'd recommend is asking for assistance at a British Council centre near you to see if they have any relevant classes for you. You could also try to see if there are any MOOCs on English literature online. For example, the British Council is currently running one called Exploring English: Shakespeare, that you might be able to join. There you could observe how the teacher speaks about literature and learn from him or her.

Good luck!
